Although anime is recognized as one of the primary entertainment content in Japan, the intermediate products generated during the production process are often discarded immediately after completing the work. We considered the discarding as a cultural loss and examined the possibility of their utilization. We conducted an ideathon to explore incentives to accumulate and preserve the intermediate products. As a result, we obtained three viewpoints: the need for a cross-sectional search of intermediate products, their use as training data for generative deep learning technologies, and clues for creating new expressive media.
